How told the VOICEPRESS.AZ 21, ISIS terrorists killed in a drone attack in Afghanistan. The drone attack was conducted early in this morning, by US forces based in Afghanistan.

According to Afghan Army sources, the airstrike was conducted in the Khugyani area of Nangarhar province.

Nangarhar province is located in the eastern part of the country, neighboring Pakistan.

The ISIS militants moved into Nangarhar four years ago and have been accused of brutality against civilians, including executions by beheading and planting suicide attacks.

According to reliable sources, ISIS was using this area as a site to prepare and move high-profile attacks on Kabul and Jalalabad.
In 2017, more than 100 ISIS militants were killed when the US air force drop an 11-ton bomb in the Nangarhar area.

This was the largest conventional bomb, has never used before during any war.

This bomb hit a series of tunnels and bunkers network of ISIS.

Earlier, US-Led coalition forces have killed Abu Saad Orakzi, the Head of the Islamic State ISIS, in the Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. He was killed with his 10 fellows.

According to Afghan intelligence sources, Abu Saad was resident of Pakistan’s Orakzai Tribal Area, he was the brother of another ISIS leader Saeed Khan, who was also killed in an American drone strike.

Abu Saeed is the fourth Islamic state leader, which was killed in Afghanistan for two years.

According to a statement by the Afghan National Directorate of Security NDS, Heavy cache of Weapons and ammunition were also found in the Nangarhar area during the search operation after US air raid.

On the terms of Anonymity, An intelligence official told voice.press.az that Abu Saeed was the head of the operational wing of Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan, a banned terror organization, Later he joined ISIS in 2014. He was very well known for his hardliner thoughts and actions against Pakistani security agencies.

It is aforementioned that during last two years Afghan and US-Led coalition forces intensified their attacks against ISIS in Afghanistan.

According to the statement, The force's commander of the US Army and NATO forces, General Scott Miller said, this is the only part of the coalition s work towards Afghanistan security solution.We want to secure Afghan people and their future,he further added.

Afghan security officials told voice.press,az, that Anti-ISIS, as well as anti-Taliban operations, are underway to eliminate the presence of terrorists in Nangarhar province and the U.S. forces are providing airstrikes support to the Afghan forces during the operations.
